About Us

Bob and Evie Tumlin moved to Oxford from Greenwood, MS in Summer of 2002.  Greenwood had been Evie’s mother’s family farm.  Bob and Evie had moved there in 1986 to manage the farm.  Bob built Catfish ponds and Evie built a riding school.  They stayed there and grew Catfish,  horses and cotton for many years.  They ran recognized Dressage Shows, Dressage In The Delta and taught a lot of children and adults to appreciate Dressage and Eventing.

Bob retired in 2000  and they made the move to the beautiful Cedar Wind Farm 2 years later.

Bob’s passion and profession had always been in aviation.  Although Evie was a flight instructor and a professional pilot  for years, her passion never left the horses.  Bob keeps his hand in aviation by training pilots and helping maintain the helicopters for the Alabama Limestone Co Sheriff’s Dept.

2010 CWF made great progress toward developing our Cross
Country Eventing Course.  It is a work in progress but with help of the Guzman family and the Southern Run Pony Club we were able to hold our first PC fund raiser Horse Trial through Novice level.  There is much work that needs to be done but little by little we are developing a course that will be very helpful to any riders in the area interested in Eventing as a schooling course.
